The Eastman EM-5548 MX-ECO is a high-capacity 5.5kVA / 5500W off-grid hybrid solar inverter designed for residential, commercial, and off-grid power systems. Built around a 48V battery system, it combines inverter, solar charging, and AC charging functions into one power-management solution.

Delivering 5500VA/5500W rated output with up to 11,000VA surge power, the inverter provides pure sine wave electricity suitable for a wide range of household and commercial appliances. Its 230VAC output and high peak efficiency make it suitable for installations requiring dependable backup and solar-generated power.
The integrated 100A MPPT solar charge controller supports up to 5500W of PV array power and an MPPT operating range of 60–450VDC, providing flexibility when designing compatible solar panel configurations. The maximum PV open-circuit voltage is 500VDC.
With a 48VDC battery bank, configurable charging functions, battery equalization, and communication interfaces including RS232, CAN and RS485, the system is designed for efficient energy management and compatibility with suitable battery-management systems. Lithium battery compatibility is also indicated for the corresponding Eastman SOL1 ECO 5.5kW platform.
